Colin Angle, co-founder and former CEO of iRobot, recently brought his new company, Familiar Machines & Magic, out of stealth to unveil its first product, a physical AI called a Familiar. Designed to fit seamlessly into people's lives and offer companionship for people of all ages, the Familiar represents a bold new vision for robots in the home. I was brought on as both creative director and director to help introduce it to the world through a series of launch videos and it was a remarkable experience to concept and then capture those genuine moments of first-time interaction between our cast and the Familiar. The launch generated global media coverage with news outlets and major technology, business and robotics publications around the world taking notice.
